Following the conclusion of Absolute Power, in which Amanda Waller was pitted against the superhero community and all the metahumans, a new status quo emerged in the DC Universe! This is the start of the DC All In, a new era launched with the formation of a new Justice League and the creation of the Absolute Universe, which was shaped by Darkseid.
This is also a time of resurgence for Superman! While DC Comics has been heavily focused on the Batman Universe for several years, the publisher started to slowly shift and give more space to other superheroes. With The Man of Steel taking a new flight to the cinemas in 2025, a new focus on the Superman comic book line emerged. There have been reprints of some old classics and neglected eras, while the Kryptonian found himself at the center of more heavy and important stories in the present.
From the exploration and expansion of his past under Mark Waid’s guidance to the present adventures written by Joshua Williamson and Dan Slott and the Absolute Superman of Jason Aaron, you can right now start discovering all the Superman comics from the DC All In era!

The Summer of Superman can be seen as a prelude to the ongoing events in the various Superman titles. To explore the Man of Steel’s youth, look no further than Action Comics from Mark Waid and Skylar Patridge, telling the story of a teenage Clark Kent in his life on Kent Farm as he struggles to fit into his life both in high school and on Earth as a burgeoning Kryptonian superhero! Superman is one of the most – if not the most – important players in this tournament!
The event is ongoing, so check out our DC K.O. Reading Order for the whole experience!
Dan Slott made his DC debut on Summer of Superman, and continues his story in Superman Unlimited, teaming up with artist Raphael Albuquerque, for a new reader-friendly tale that starts with an asteroid the size of Metropolis hurtling toward a collision with planet Earth! This is not a definitive placement as it is, for the moment, not 100% confirmed when this story takes place. The title is ongoing and is new-reader-friendly.

Absolute Superman Reading Order
A new side of the DC Universe is born: the Absolute Universe! As DC explained, “In a different, darker world, Kal-El landed in a remote Kansas field, the last survivor from an alien planet…but even before that moment, nothing unfoldedas you’d expect. As he tries to survive in a world seemingly determined to repeat the mistakes of the demolished Krypton, he’ll come into conflict with theglobe-straddling Lazarus Corporation and its agenda of exploitation…and go fist-to-fist with its brutal army of Peacemakers!”
Coming from Jason Aaron (Thor) and artist Rafa Sandoval (The Flash, Action Comics) is the reinvention of Superman in a dark world, in which Kal-El has no home, no family, no fortress of solitude and arrived on Earth as an adult.
- Absolute Superman Vol. 1: Last Dust of Krypton
Collects Absolute Superman #1-6 - Absolute Superman Vol. 2: Son of the Demon [2026]
